The model no. 40 has a large and a small blade.

blade strength

Big blade: 2.4 mm; small blade: 1.4 mm

construction

Compared to model no. 42, the structure is wider. The small blade is also more massive. The head and foot rivets were riveted in the middle, while a third rivet fixed the back spring.

scale material

Tortoiseshell, horn, mother-of-pearl and imitation mother-of-pearl were used as the scale material.

liners

The liners, as well as the rivets, are made of nickel silver.
