No. 236 f

history

Victorinox developed model no. 236 f at the beginning of the 1950s together with other models with the fish scales, such as models no. 234 f, 235 f etc. Model no. 236 f was a 5-ply model. It was offered with a bracket and tweezers/toothpick as standard.

Not much is known about the hihistory of the No. 236 f model. Model no. 236 f appears in the Victorinox catalogs from the 1950s to 1971, and then no longer after 1972.

The model no. 236 f had a small and a large cutting blade, a can opener, a screwdriver, a saw, scissors and a fish scaler and on the back a corkscrew and an awl.

construction

The model no. 236 f is a 5-layer pocket knife. The upper layer consists of the can opener, the screwdriver and the awl on the back. The bottom layer consists of a small and large cutting blade and a corkscrew on the back. In the 3 layers in between are scissors, metal saw/file and saw. These are fixed to the base rivet together with the small cutting blade and the screwdriver. The awl and corkscrew revolve around the central rivet.

scale material

Victorinox only used Cellidor red as the scale material.

Liners/spacers/rivets

The liners and intermediate layers are made of German silver or aluminium, the rivets are made of German silver.
