No. 2211

history

Victorinox developed model no. 2211 in the 1960s. It was a model No.2210 with an extra saw. This model is no longer manufactured. It was officially made exclusively with silver aluminum scales. However, there was obviously an order from the CKW company for model no. 2211 with red aluminum scales, which Victorinox then also produced. As described in some catalogues, Victorinox was always willing to carry out special orders for models and variants that were not officially produced for a certain surcharge.

functional parts

Model No.2211 had a large cutting blade, a small and a regular screwdriver, as well as an awl and an extra saw. This model did not come with a shackle/key ring.

material thickness

Large cutting blade: 2.8 mm; Awl: 1.8 mm; narrow screwdriver: 1.8 mm; normal screwdriver: 2.25 mm; Saw: 1.8mm

construction

The lower layer of model no. 2211 is identical to that of the soldier's knife model no. 2220 (awl and large cutting blade). The upper layer consists of narrow and normal screwdriver. The middle layer consists of the saw. The latter moves around the head rivet together with the large cutting blade and the narrow screwdriver, the other 2 tools around the foot rivet.

scale material

Victorinox used silver aluminum as the scale material.

Liners/spacers/rivets

The intermediate layers and spacers consisted of brass, later of nickel silver; the head and foot rivets are made of nickel silver, the center rivet is made of aluminium.
