No. 2205

history

Model No. 2205 first appears in the 1964 Victorinox catalogue. In addition to a large cutting blade, it also had a small one, with the old blade shape that disappeared in the mid-1970s. This model may have been out of production for a period of time. It is currently in the Victorinox range, but with a silver aluminum scale.

functional parts

The model no. 2205 had a large and a small cutting blade. The model was optionally available with a bail.

material thickness

Large cutting blade: 2.8 mm; small cutting blade: 1.8 mm

construction

The large cutting blade turned around the head rivet, the small cutting blade around the foot rivet. An intermediate layer was also attached to the base rivet to compensate for the difference in tool thickness.

scale material

Victorinox used red anodized aluminum as the scale material.

Liners/spacers/rivets

The intermediate layer consisted of brass, later of German silver; the head and foot rivets are made of nickel silver, the center rivet is made of aluminium.
