No. 2215

history

The history of model no. 2215 begins in the 1960s. The model no. 2215 was a model no. 2214 with an additional saw. These variants were typical of Victorinox. A standard 2-layer version with 4 tools, and an additional 5-piece variant with an additional layer with a saw. Originally, the No.2215 model had red aluminum scales and brass liners and spacers. Meanwhile, this model is made with silver aluminum scales and liners/liners made of nickel silver.

Model No.2215 had a large cutting blade, a screwdriver and a cable blade, as well as an awl and a saw. This model did not come with a shackle/key ring.

construction

The top and bottom tiers of model No.2215 are identical to model No.2214. In between is the saw on a separate tier. This rotates around the head rivet together with the large cutting blade and the hooked blade.

scale material

Victorinox used red anodized aluminum as the scale material.

Liners/spacers/rivets

The intermediate layers and board consisted of brass, later of nickel silver; the head and foot rivets are made of nickel silver, the center rivet is made of aluminium.
