history
Model no. 2223 is consistently included in the Victorinox catalogs from 1959 onwards. All in all, it is probably the rarest model of the Alox - Pioneer pocket knives, because it hardly ever appears on the market. This suggests that it was only produced in very small numbers. This model was essentially the standard No.2220 model with a long sewing awl in place of the normal awl. The official color was red anodized. This model was not available in other standard colors. This model was produced until the 1980s. Victorinox then produced a few more special models of model no. 2223 for online retailers or collectors.
