history
Model no. 2216 was one of the first models in the Alox - Pioneer series that Victorinox produced. It is already noted in the 1959 catalogue. It was a 3-layer model, which included the special tools hook blade and sewing awl. This model originally had red aluminum scales. It was still produced in small numbers until around 2015 with silver aluminum scales. All pioneering pocket knives with the sewing awl are no longer produced by Victorinox.
