Model No. 42 has a large and a small blade and a long nail file on the back.

blade strength

Big blade: 2.2 mm; small blade: 1.5 mm; Nail file: 2.2 mm

construction

The model is slimmer than model no. 40, the small blade is significantly narrower because the nail file was riveted on the opposite side. The central head rivet remained.

When mother-of-pearl was used as the scale material, the rivet that held the back spring in place was hidden under the scale. This type of hidden rivet does not work without circuit liners.

scale material

Tortoiseshell, stainless steel, horn, mother-of-pearl and imitation mother-of-pearl were used as the scale material.

liners

The liners, as well as the rivets, are made of nickel silver.
