No. 2233

history

Victorinox developed model no. 2233 in the late 1950s, like the other 2230 models. For a long time, the model was only available with aluminum scales. The model with Cellidor bowls only appeared in the early 1970s. In the meantime, the model is mainly produced again with aluminum scales.

functional parts

The model no. 2233 has a large and a small cutting blade (later nail file), a can and a bottle opener. The original model was available with or without a key ring.

material thickness

Large cutting blade: 2.5 mm; small cutting blade: 1.5 mm; Bottle Opener: 2mm; Can opener: 2.0 mm.

construction

The model no. 2233 is a 2-layer pocket knife. The lower layer consists of the small and the large cutting blade, the upper layer of can and bottle openers. This basic arrangement is identical to the Model No. 234k, except that the Model No. 2233 has no functional parts on the back.

scale material

The classic scale material was aluminium, silver or red fluted. In addition, variants in smooth aluminum were produced for advertising purposes and, at a later date, in Cellidor.

Liners/spacers/rivets

The model no. 2231 does not have any liners (except for the version with Cellidor scales). The spacers and rivets are made of nickel silver.

Trade names: Cadet, Cadet II, Recruit
