history
The hihistory of the No. 235 model dates back to the late 19th century and was developed between 1897 and 1901. The model originally had fiber scales. Between about 1930 and 1950, model no. 235 was offered with different case materials in cellidor, horn, mother-of-pearl or tortoisescale. By 1959 at the latest, the model was only available with Cellidor scales as standard.
The Model No. 235 went through many changes, as did the entire range of army knives. The scissors were always the distinguishing feature to other officers' knives. Originally it could be opened from the front as well as from the back. From the 1950s onwards this was only possible from the rear as the nail punch on the front disappeared.
