history
Victorinox developed model no. 2204 at the same time as model no. 2203 in the 1950s. It first appears in the 1959 catalogue. It was a 2-layer model with a large cutting blade and saw. The saw went through some changes, which is why different variants can be distinguished in this model. Since this model had its own position for the large cutting blade, both symmetrically and asymmetrically ground cutting blades could be used.
functional parts
The model no. 2204 had a saw in addition to a large cutting blade. The model was optionally available with a bail.
material thickness
Large cutting blade: 2.8 mm; Saw: 1.8mm
construction
The big cutting blade turned around the head rivet, the saw around the foot rivet.
scale material
Victorinox used red anodized aluminum as the scale material.
Liners/spacers/rivets
The head and foot rivets were made of nickel silver, the center rivet of aluminum. Although it has 2 layers, there is no intermediate spacer.
