Model No. 2201 first appears in the 1969 Victorinox catalogue. It was a 1-layer pocket knife, equipped only with a cable blade. It was the only pocket knife from Victorinox in the pioneer series without a large sheath blade and accableingly without manufacturer information. This cable blade underwent only very minor changes. Accableingly, there are hardly any different variants of model no. 2201. This model was only produced in small numbers.

Victorinox used ribbed silver aluminum scales as the scale material for the No. 2201 model.

Model No.2201 had no spacers and no liner. The head and foot rivets were made of nickel silver, the center rivet of aluminum.
